Zangger Popcorn in North Loup, Nebraska is looking for an experienced Lead Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic to join their team. Zangger Popcorn is a seed farm operation that specializes in the production of popcorn seed, processing seed and research & development. The Lead Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic must have the ability to work independently, be resourceful and have the capability to prioritize and manage the maintenance schedule efficiently.
Lead Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic Compensation & Benefits:

• $27-$33 per hour, based on experience

Lead Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic Job Duties:

• Diagnose and repair farm equipment such as: tractors, planters, mowers, balers, rakes, forklifts, irrigation equipment and all other farm equipment used.
• Perform maintenance on popcorn seed processing machinery such as: gravity beds, treater, precleaner, and other equipment
• Create and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment and vehicles
• Look up part numbers and order as needed
• Ability to read schematics
• Keep an accurate inventory of parts and supplies
• Collaborate with management on maintenance schedule
• Assist with training operators and processing technicians on equipment use and repairs
• Attend weekly management meetings: report maintenance schedule updates and accomplishments
• Effectively communicate with vendors and team members
• Must exhibit strong welding, electrical and carpentry skills
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure machinery complies with safety standards
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace

Lead Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic Schedule:

• Hours Vary Based on Season
• Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

The Lead Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic must have an acceptable driving record as reflected by the MVR. A Class A CDL is not required, but preferred.
