Role Title: Risk Data & Architecture Manager

Overview:

We're seeking a Technical Lead to drive a strategic initiative focused on enhancing data architecture and integration for non-financial risk (NFR) reporting and oversight. This role is central to shaping how risk-related data is structured, sourced, and made accessible across the organisation. The successful candidate will work on a major enterprise platform transformation for a well-established financial services organisation.
You’ll operate at the crossroads of risk, data, and compliance—ensuring that risk and control information from governance platforms is properly integrated, structured, and report-ready across business units. The role involves close collaboration with subject matter experts in risk, data engineering teams, and enterprise platforms. Familiarity with regulatory data principles such as BCBS 239 is important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and manage data and reporting requirements for non-financial risk initiatives, ensuring alignment with internal frameworks and governance practices.
• Collaborate with technology teams to design solutions for ingesting risk/control data from governance tools (e.g., GRC platforms).
• Develop and validate multi-layered data models to support comprehensive reporting on risk issues, controls, and audit insights.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability of data elements from source systems to reporting layers, in line with regulatory expectations.
• Engage with operational risk, compliance, and data teams to interpret business needs and convert them into scalable data solutions.
• Lead technical design efforts for integrating source system data into enterprise-wide platforms.
• Support the configuration and scheduling of data feeds and ensure robust batch processing setups.
• Provide oversight throughout the development lifecycle—from design to deployment—ensuring quality and alignment with business goals.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data changes, quality issues, feed schedules, and reconciliation processes.
• Plan for future scalability and flexibility of data solutions to support ongoing business evolution.

• Proven experience working in risk, compliance, or data governance roles, ideally within a regulated environment.
• Ability to convert business requirements into structured technical designs.
• Understanding of GRC tools and risk frameworks (e.g., risk taxonomies, controls, and issue management).
• Familiarity with regulatory and data governance standards (e.g., BCBS 239, GDPR, operational resilience requirements).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
• Solid background in data architecture, system integration, and enterprise data management initiatives.
• Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and large-scale data platform technologies.
