Overview:

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Solutions Lead with extensive experience in data solutions and real-time event processing. This role will involve the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-based systems, with a particular focus on ETL development, API integration, and data validation in complex banking environments. This is a hands-on, hybrid role based in Dublin.
 
Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL Design & Implementation
      - Develop, design, and deploy scalable ETL pipelines using Ab Initio, including continuous flows and associated tools.
2. API and Database Testing
      - Create and execute test cases for RESTful API integrations.
      - Validate data integrity and back-end systems using Teradata or equivalent relational databases.
3. Mainframe Systems Integration
      - Collaborate with teams on testing initiatives for mainframe-based applications.
      - Utilise tools such as Zowe Explorer to interface with mainframe environments and support automation.
4. Data Handling & Automation
      - Develop automation scripts for data processing and validation, particularly using Excel-based workflows.
      - Ensure data quality and consistency across integrated systems.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
      - Liaise with development, QA, and product teams to define test scenarios and technical requirements.
      - Deliver clear, structured test reports and log defects with actionable reproduction steps.

• ETL: Strong experience with Ab Initio, including Continuous Flows and related tools.
• Real-Time Data: Proficient in event-driven data processing using Apache Kafka.
• APIs: Competent in REST API design and testing; familiarity with Python libraries such as requests.
• Databases: Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Teradata or similar.
• Mainframe: Basic knowledge of mainframe systems and tools such as Zowe.
• Version Control: Experience with Git-based repositories (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket/Stash).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience within cross-functional project teams.
