We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Finance Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation based in a sought-after city fringe location. This is a key role within the Planning & Performance function, providing high-quality financial insight, modelling, and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making across the business.

This role suits a technically strong analyst who enjoys working with complex data, building robust financial models, and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive better commercial outcomes.
The Role
The Senior Finance Analyst will deliver insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to support performance management and business planning. You will play a critical role in translating complex financial data into meaningful insights that inform decision making across the organisation.
You will also partner closely with stakeholders across the business to understand performance drivers, challenge assumptions, and support commercial decisions with robust analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Modelling & Analysis

• Develop, maintain, and enhance robust financial models including forecasting, scenario analysis, sensitivities, and business cases
• Ensure models are well structured, transparent, and suitable for decision making
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities

Performance Reporting & Planning

• Deliver high-quality analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and long-term planning
• Provide timely and accurate insights to support planning cycles
• Explain variances, outcomes, and forward-looking implications clearly and effectively

Business Partnering

• Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand key assumptions and performance drivers
• Communicate financial results clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Constructively challenge assumptions and support recommendations with data-driven insights

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve financial models, processes, and reporting tools
• Contribute to the uplift of analytical capability and financial discipline across the organisation
• Support the development of consistent, best-practice financial modelling standards

About You

You are a curious, detail-oriented and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic and evolving environment. You are confident working with large datasets and presenting insights that influence decision making.
You will bring:

• Proven experience in a Finance Analyst or Senior Finance Analyst role
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability (complex models and large datasets)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
• Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
• A proactive mindset with strong initiative and ownership
• Experience in financial services or banking highly desirable (but not essential)

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential
