Trainee Field Service Technician - North or North West London | Full Time | Permanent

We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Trainee Field Service Technician to join our UK team.

As a Trainee Field Service Technician, you'll support the installation, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of drinking water systems at customer locations. You'll learn the technical and customer service skills required to develop into a fully competent Field Service Technician.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of drinking water systems.
• Supporting preventative maintenance and filter replacement programmes.
• Learning how to diagnose and resolve technical faults and carry out repairs.
• Delivering excellent customer service at customer sites and acting as a positive ambassador for the Billi brand.
• Completing service records, job notes and other documentation accurately.
• Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicle stock.
• Safely driving a company vehicle between customer locations in line with company standards and road safety requirements.
• Participating in structured technical training, development activities and competency assessments.
• Following health and safety procedures and supporting a safe working environment.

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine desire to learn.
You'll also have:

• A full UK manual driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A practical mindset and interest in technical or mechanical work.
• The ability to learn new skills and follow technical procedures.
• A proactive and professional approach to work.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to safely lift, move and install equipment.
• Flexibility to travel throughout your assigned territory and occasionally stay away from home when required.

 
Please note: Driving is an essential part of this role. Successful candidates must be able to satisfy Billi's driver eligibility and motor insurance requirements.

Employment is subject to a satisfactory DBS check. Due to the nature of our customer base, some customer sites also require additional background screening, security clearance and compliance checks before access can be granted.

Previous experience in maintenance, plumbing, engineering, construction, facilities management or other practical environments would be advantageous, but is not essential. We're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
