Purpose

This role is a hands-on lead generation and digital advertising role. Owning Billi UK paid channels, the role is to manage the website, run email campaigns and work closely with the sales team to make sure marketing activity actually drives pipeline.
  
Key Accountabilities

• Plan, set up and optimise paid search and ‘social’ campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) with clear lead quality and cost-per-lead metrics
• Own website: landing pages, CRO, on-page SEO and ongoing performance improvement
• Run email marketing campaigns and automated nurture workflows, segmented by audience and stage
• Collaborate with our specification team to manage our Glenigan intent data strategy to identify and target architects, specifiers and developers at the right moment
• Report on digital performance clearly and honestly, connecting activity to pipeline, not just clicks or last click attribution
• Support account-based marketing activity across our named target accounts, working with sales and the head of marketing
• Use AI tools to work faster and smarter, whether it is campaign research, copy drafting, reporting or audience analysis and whilst still driving industry leading distinctiveness
• Work with external agencies to execute the above as appropriate, whilst building capability in-house
• Segmentation, targeting and positioning to explain why talk to a specific audience in a specific way
• Knowing the difference between brand and demand, build awareness and generate a lead
• Knowing the difference between effectiveness and efficiency in marketing terms
• Campaign planning and building: objectives, channels, messaging, measurement
• Funnel thinking: understanding the journey from unknown to customer and where marketing impacts
• Measurement basics: CAC, CPL, conversion rate, pipeline contribution

Person Specification
  
Essential

• Mini-MBA, CIM qualification or similar programme
• Active user of AI tools
• 1-3 years of hands-on digital marketing experience (or equivalent demonstrable skills)
• B2B experience is an advantage, particularly in specification, construction or FM-adjacent markets
• Comfortable with paid channels to run campaigns
• Organised and detail-oriented
• Analytically confident to read performance data and know what to do with it
• Proactive communicator, flagging problems and asking good questions
• Evidence of self-directed learning: qualification, side project, course, etc.

Desirable

• B2B experience is desirable, particularly in specification-led or built environment markets
• Strong foundations in marketing, a genuine instinct for commercial impact and the drive to learn fast in a sector with real technical depth
• Curious and commercially switched on
