Evening Care Assistant - Newport & Monmouth
Hours: Evening shifts available up until 10:00pm / Full-time or part-time
Pay Rates: £13.00 - £13.50 per hour
 
Evenings can be one of the most important times of day for our clients. As an Evening Care Assistant, you'll help individuals wind down and prepare for a safe, comfortable night in their own home. You'll also be part of a supportive team that truly values the work you do.
 
What You'll Be Doing
As an Evening Care Assistant, your visits will help clients end their day with dignity, comfort, and companionship. You'll offer personalised support with:

• Assisting with evening routines such as washing, changing into nightwear, and toileting
• Preparing light evening meals or snacks
• Supporting with medication and bedtime routines
• Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
• Helping with light household tasks to maintain a safe environment
• Assisting with mobility (e.g. transfers, walking aids, or hoists if required)
• Keeping in regular contact with the care team to ensure seamless care and support

Essential Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• The legal right to work in the UK
• Clear and confident communication skills in spoken and written English
• A compassionate, respectful approach to care
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
