Job Title: Complex Care Assistant
Location: Gloucester – GL2 7LZ
Hourly Rate: £14.50–£17.50 + Mileage (40p per mile)
Limited company pay rates available upon request
Hours Required:
- Tuesday: 15:45–22:15
- Thursday: 15:45–22:15
- Sunday: 15:45–22:15
- Friday: 4 flexible hours for bandage cutting
- Social Hours: 8 flexible hours per week
About the Role: We are seeking a confident, caring, and proactive Complex Care Assistant to support a vibrant 12-year-old girl living with
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a rare skin condition that causes fragile skin and blistering. Despite the challenges, she embraces life with enthusiasm and enjoys all things girly, including chatting, watching TV, shopping, and cinema trips.
This is a truly special opportunity to provide meaningful care – combining clinical support with emotional encouragement – in a way that empowers her and supports her independence.
About You: We’re looking for someone who is:
- Confident and engaging: she is intuitive and responds best to someone who can gently take the lead during care routines
- Supportive and proactive: Able to encourage her independence without making her feel different
- Emotionally aware: Calm, composed, and empathetic during both routine and more sensitive care
- Experienced in wound care: Comfortable assisting with dressing preparation, bandage changes, and monitoring her skin condition
