Job Title: Complex Care Assistant – Complex Needs
Location: Gloucester – GL3 4QN
Hourly Rate: £14.50
Limited company pay rates available upon request
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 14:30–18:30 (we can combine this with another package if you're looking for more hours.

We are seeking a compassionate and committed Complex Care Assistant to support a young child and her family, both at home and within the local community.

About the Role:
You will be supporting a bright and engaging young girl, who experienced complications at birth requiring full resuscitation. She remains at high risk of aspiration. Her father currently manages all medications and feeding.
Your role will focus on:

• Accompanying her to medical appointments, physiotherapy, and activities
• Providing stimulating and engaging interaction at home
• Supporting the family by enabling dad to attend to daily tasks
• Managing her secretions in a calm and confident manner

Please note: A parent will always be present during shifts – you will not be left alone with child. Over time, and once trust and familiarity are built, you may have the opportunity to be trained and signed off to assist with NG tube feeding and medication administration.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, confident, and enjoys working with children
• Able to stay calm and responsive in high-pressure situations
• Observant and proactive in monitoring secretions
• Respectful of family routines and dynamics
• A capable driver with access to your own car (mileage reimbursed)
