Job Title: Care Assistant
Location: Gloucester – GL6
Salary: £13.50 – £14.62 per hour + holiday pay & mileage
Hours: 7 days a week | Shift options: 08:00–13:00 or 13:00–18:00
 
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to support Sheri, a woman living with advanced dementia in her own home. Sheri communicates, but her words can often become muddled, and she requires calm, patient support to feel safe and understood. She takes time to build trust, so consistency and empathy are essential.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Providing companionship, reassurance, and a friendly, calming presence
• Supporting Sheri with daily routines and activities
• Engaging her in meaningful conversation and stimulation
• Building trust through consistent and respectful care

 
What We’re Looking For

• Experience in dementia or elderly care is highly desirable
• A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible attitude to care
