Job Title: Complex Care Assistant
Location: Gloucester - GL3 4QN
Hourly Rate: £14.50
Shifts: Very flexible shifts up until September. From September the hours will be 14:30-18:30, Monday to Friday
 
We’re looking for a Complex Care Assistant to support a young child and her family in their home and out in the community.
 
About the Role:
AC is a delightful child who was born at full term and required full resuscitation at birth. She is at high risk of aspiration, and while her father manages all medication and feeding, your role will be to support the family with:

• Travelling to appointments, physiotherapy sessions, and activities
• Providing engaging, stimulating interaction with AC at home
• Assisting the family by enabling dad to attend to household duties
• Attending to AC's secretions confidently and calmly

You’ll always be working with a parent present, and will never be left alone with AC. Over time, and once trust and familiarity have been established, there may be the opportunity for you to be trained and signed off to assist with medication and NG tube feeding.
 
Ideal Candidate:
 
We are looking for someone who is:

• Warm, playful, and confident in interacting with children
• Calm and responsive under pressure
• Proactive in monitoring and managing secretions
• Reliable and respectful of the family dynamic and needs
• A confident driver (car owner essential, mileage reimbursed)
