Care Assistant – Home Care Based
 
Location: Weston Super Mare
Pay: £13 - £15 per hour
Shift Times: 08:00-18:00 OR 11:00–17:00 OR 17:00-21:00
Contract Type: Full time/part time/ flexible shifts

We are currently seeking kind, reliable, and compassionate Care Assistants to support a gentleman in his own home following a motorbike accident. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide one-to-one care and companionship in a calm, comfortable setting.
 
About the Role:
You'll be part of a supportive care team providing 24/7 assistance as part of a structured rota. The gentleman you will be supporting is a below-knee amputee (one side) and requires both physical and emotional support as he continues to regain independence and quality of life.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Providing personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, and hygiene
• Prompting medication as per care plan
• Offering friendly companionship and emotional support
• Supporting day-to-day tasks and promoting independence
• Ensuring safety and comfort in the home environment

• Previous care experience is essential
• A caring nature, reliability, and patience
• Good communication skills
• Respect for privacy, dignity, and personal boundaries
