Night Care Assistant (Home-Based Care)
 
Location: Bath
Salary: £17-£18 per hour
Hours: Night shifts – 8pm to 8am
 
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Care Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a male client in his own home. The client lives with epilepsy, requires PEG feeding, and uses a catheter, so experience within complex care is ideal.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the client throughout the night, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Respond to seizures in line with the client’s epilepsy care plan
• Provide catheter care and monitor for signs of infection or complications
• Assist with repositioning and personal care as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
• Ensure a calm, respectful, and supportive environment at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a care assistant or support worker
• Confident in managing epilepsy, PEG feeding, and catheter care
• Understanding of safe moving and handling techniques
• Kind, patient, and attentive with strong communication skills
