Billy J is a fast fashion ecommerce brand celebrating twelve years in business, led by a founder with a genuine passion for product and a knack for building a warm culture across her team.
 
The brand is growing, expanding into new international markets and continuing to invest in the team behind that growth. They're now looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team out of their office on the Sunshine Coast, taking full ownership of the business's day to day financial accounting and reporting directly to the CEO.

What you'll own

• Full ownership of the business's financial accounting, from day to day bookkeeping through to trial balance and month end
• Budgeting and forecasting, building out the numbers that help guide decisions across the business
• Management reporting to the CEO, where you'll get to shape the format and detail around how she likes to see the numbers
• Contributing scenario modelling and financial insight that helps guide decisions as the CEO thinks through what's next for the business
• Spotting the discrepancies and opportunities in the numbers that help the business run a little leaner and smarter each month
• Liaising with external partners who support the business on tax and compliance, so you're always working from a clear, complete financial picture

About you

• Experience in ecommerce or fashion is valued, and having touched both is a real bonus
• A strong background in financial accounting, including real experience with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Comfortable adapting your reporting style to suit how a founder led business likes to see its numbers, rather than working from a fixed template
• Warm, adaptable and comfortable working in a business that runs on energy and instinct as much as process
• You communicate clearly and confidently, and you're comfortable raising things directly with leadership when the numbers need a conversation
