As Senior Designer, you'll be a key creative force behind the Miss Amara and Loopsie brands. This role is ideal for an experienced designer with a refined aesthetic and deep understanding of homewares and global design trends. This role will take a leading role in shaping the creative direction of Miss Amara rug collections, driving innovative concepts and turning them into compelling, market-ready products.
 
 
This is an exciting opportunity to set the creative tone for the business, collaborating with the Chief Creative Officer while also bringing your own ideas to life. You'll be responsible for end-to-end design development, from trend forecasting and concept creation through to sourcing, supplier engagement and final product delivery.

 
This role has regular travel for supplier visits and sourcing trips, and whilst 4 days are work from home, 1 day a week is at their Distribution Centre in Granville so you're connected to the product.

Your remit:

• Partner with the CCO to co-create a compelling and cohesive creative direction for the business.
• Lead the creative vision for seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with our brand values and aesthetic.
• Translate high-level creative ideas into detailed rug briefs that inform and inspire development.
• Make strategic design decisions regarding materials, weaving techniques, finishes and more, balancing aesthetic, functionality and cost.
• Oversee the development process, including liaising with global suppliers in India, Turkey, China and beyond.

 
 
Here's what we'd love to see in your background:

• Demonstrated experience in a senior design or product development role, with strong capabilities in new product development, sourcing, trend analysis and international supplier engagement, particularly in home decor or home textile.
• Passion for design, innovation and product storytelling, with a strong understanding of
  the homewares sector.
• An ability to understand the Miss Amara consumer, and interpret global trends in a way that feel on brand
