Lead a maintenance team at an established food processing facility in Nhill VIC, supporting reliable production, safety and continuous improvement.
THE ROLE
An established Australian food manufacturing business is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join its Nhill VIC operation. Reporting to the Head of Processing, you will lead the site maintenance team and ensure plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard, supporting safe and efficient production. This is a hands-on role combining team leadership, fault-finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
THE ROLE
You will coordinate daily maintenance activities, prioritise breakdowns and planned work, and ensure equipment is returned to service with minimal disruption to production. You will also oversee contractors, assist with equipment installations and modifications, manage critical spares and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
An important part of the role will be developing the maintenance team and ensuring all work meets safety, food safety, quality and environmental standards.
THE REQUIREMENTS
You will ideally have a mechanical or electrical trade qualification and experience in industrial or food manufacturing maintenance. Previous experience supervising a maintenance team, together with strong fault-finding, planning and communication skills, is highly desirable.
Experience with PLCs, automation or relevant additional licences will be advantageous.
