The Opportunity
Good pasture agronomists are in demand, and this role offers the chance to make a visible difference. Working across the Barraba, Manilla and Bingara districts, you will help livestock producers improve pasture performance, productivity and long-term farm outcomes. Our client is a well-established rural services business with strong local relationships and a reputation for practical, honest advice. You will be trusted to manage your territory, build your own client relationships and become an important technical partner to farming businesses throughout the region.
The Role
- Provide practical advice on pasture establishment, soil fertility, grazing systems and crop options.
- Conduct farm visits, soil testing, paddock inspections and seasonal planning.
- Develop tailored recommendations covering seed, fertiliser and crop protection inputs.
- Build lasting relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Stay close to current research, products and best-practice pasture management.
- Represent the business at field days, industry events and community activities.
About You You may be an experienced agronomist looking for greater autonomy, or a capable developing agronomist ready to step into a role with strong mentoring and career potential. Most importantly, you will enjoy being in the paddock, talking with farmers and turning sound technical knowledge into practical results.
- Qualifications in agriculture, agronomy or a related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of pasture, soil and livestock production systems.
- Strong communication skills and a practical, consultative approach.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the local region.

Local knowledge of the New England or Northern Tablelands will be valued but is not essential.
