THE ROLE
The is a permanent, dynamic role that oversees day-to-day operations in plant production, staff management, growing, and overall nursery operations to ensure the maximum production of quality product. You will be involved in:
Plant Production & Quality Control: Oversee daily nursery operations including potting, dispatching, propagation, and pest management; ensure plant health and timely, high-quality output.
Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and mentor nursery staff, provide on-the-job training, and promote a safe, skilled, and motivated workforce.
Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace health and safety protocols through regular briefings and compliance with regulations.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Conduct maintenance of nursery infrastructure such as irrigation systems, greenhouses, machinery, and vehicles.
Operational Efficiency & Reporting: Monitor production performance, manage resources and inventory, track key metrics, and report to senior management while focusing on process improvement and customer satisfaction.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Industry Experience & Technical Knowledge: 2–5 years in horticulture or nursery management with strong skills in plant care, pest control, irrigation, and nursery operations.
Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and develop teams while fostering a productive and positive work environment.
Workplace Safety & Physical Capability: Sound understanding of health and safety standards, with the physical stamina to handle outdoor, hands-on work.
Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong communication abilities, capable of resolving operational issues and using basic technology for tracking production and inventory.
