Client
Our client is a leading, proudly family-owned and operated company and an independent rural retailer and supplier located in Central Queensland. The business grows many of its own grain and hay products and formulates and manufactures balanced feeds and supplements for all animal species, focusing strongly on cattle feeds. Due to a retirement, we are now searching for a Stockfeed Manager with good ruminant nutrition skills.
 
Role
This role will be responsible for the stockfeed manufacturing, sales and diet formulation, as follows:

• Manage the stockfeed process from raw ingredient procurement through to delivery of end product. Stockfeed products include grain, grain mixes, mineral licks, liquid feeds, hay, proprietary stockfeed and wholesale purchased stockfeed
• Forecasting of seasonal product purchasing
• To expand the customer base at Belyando’s through the provision of quality service and advice and by maintaining and promoting services which meet the current and anticipated needs of those customers
• Provide exceptional customer service in store and on farm, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Be responsible for all product formulation within nutritional guidelines
• Ensure that all safety and compliance regulations and processes are followed both on and off-site, including, but not limited to, workplace health and safety, road safety, property biosecurity, and personal safety
• Manage quality control and traceability

 Requirements

• Degree in Animal Nutrition, Beef Production Systems, Agriculture or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years management experience, preferably in manufacturing or stockfeed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full driver's license required as travel is an essential part of the role
• Experience in, or understanding of, Central Queensland beef production systems
• Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting, moving stock, and standing for extended periods
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
