Client
Our client is a leading industry agricultural research and extension organisation in southern NSW owned by growers and involving advisers and researchers. Their main objective is to coordinate and communicate private, public and grower group funded research and development activities within in the region. They are now searching for a senior research and extension scientist to lead the RD&E team and drive the development of innovative programs.
  
Role Responsibilities
Your role will be to will plan, prioritise, coordinate and deliver the various project deliverables associated with the RD&E program. Key responsibilities are:

• Manage the delivery of the project portfolio against contract milestones and budgets
• Demonstrated ability to manage an RD&E team
• Ability to deliver the strategic plan and budget for RD&E, with support from the Farm Manager
• Develop project proposals, bids and tenders, in conjunction with the CEO and relevant stakeholders
• Manage the capital investment in equipment that supports the RD&E program
• Engage with the Communications Team to support project deliverables

  Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or equivalent
• Experience in agricultural research and extension, agronomic background
• High-level project and systems management
• Very knowledgeable in writing grant proposals, contracts and financial management
• Good report writing capabilities
• High-level engagement and communications, demonstrated ability to meet strategic plans and ability to report to a Board
