Our client, a family-owned business in Sydney which has spent 50 years building an enviable reputation for producing and marketing high quality gourmet foods, is now the leading provider in their category.

THE POSITION
An experienced Financial Controller is required to oversee the financial operations of the business. The position will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the business, with a focus on driving efficiency, profitability and sustainable growth in the industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for a small administration team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Reporting and Analysis;
• Cost Accounting;
• Cash Flow and Treasury Management;
• Compliance and Regulatory Reporting;
• Financial Planning and Strategy;
• Audits and Internal Controls.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred);
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in financial management gained within a manufacturing or agricultural business;
• Proficiency in the use of ERP systems;
• Experience in managing financial audits, tax compliance and regulatory reporting;
• Prior experience in managing a team;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in financial modelling. 

This position provides excellent career prospects with a pathway to a COO or CFO position depending on the skills and aspirations of the successful candidate.

REMUNERATION
An attractive salary package will be offered which is commensurate with experience.

LOCATION
At the business head office in South Strathfield NSW.
