Experienced Field Service Engineer required to install, maintain and troubleshoot high-voltage test equipment across global customer sites
Job Summary
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site service and technical support for specialized equipment at global locations. The role involves installation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Responsibilities include diagnosing product failures, replacing or installing components, and verifying that all work meets quality and safety standards. The engineer will develop detailed service reports, document maintenance activities, and provide customer guidance on product features and maintenance while escalating complex issues as needed. This position is based in Dubai, UAE, and reports to the Service Manager in Accident, MD
Key Responsibilities
The Field Service Engineer will independently analyze and repair high-voltage, high-current test equipment, troubleshooting faults on relay, PLC, and microprocessor-controlled systems. Responsibilities include replacing faulty components, modifying PLC programs under engineering guidance, and conducting operational checks post-repair. The engineer will analyze failures, generate reports, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues. Additional duties include coordinating special projects, evaluating designs, and conducting on-site commissioning and training, including developing test procedures and issuing training certificates. The role also involves preparing and delivering service quotations, cost analyses, and upgrade recommendations while maintaining direct communication with customers regarding equipment status and scheduling
Qualifications & Travel Requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required, along with 2-4 years of experience in electrical/electronics. You MUST HAVE experience with high-voltage test equipment, and AutoCAD
The role demands proficiency in electrical test equipment, Microsoft Word and Excel, and professional communication skills. Preferred experience includes working with PLC software, high-voltage test equipment, and AutoCAD. The engineer must be comfortable with international travel, comprising approximately 30% of the role, and possess the ability to conduct both practical and classroom-style training sessions
