The Vascular Sonographer performs complex project work with interdisciplinary teams, including administrators, nursing, imaging staff, and medical leaders. This role co-leads within a system team and leads projects at the business unit level, serving as a consultant on regulatory, disease certification, patient safety, and quality initiatives. This position includes approximately 70% direct patient care, performing vascular imaging studies, and 30% focused on clinical quality, project work, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications Required:
Associate’s Degree required
Completion of a formal Sonography Technology Program
Must be registered under one of the following agencies: R. D. M. S.- Registered Diagnostic RVT.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
Ability to adapt and prioritize in a rapidly changing healthcare environment
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with clinical quality and patient safety principles
Basic understanding of research processes and statistical analysis
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and standard computer applications
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or related field
2 years of project management experience
Experience delivering educational programs
Experience with program development, implementation, and evaluation
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive advanced noninvasive and invasive vascular imaging exams
Lead and support clinical quality and patient safety initiatives
Facilitate and coordinate project design and implementation at the business unit level
Develop project plans, timelines, and communication strategies
Apply evidence-based practices and regulatory standards to projects
Support data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to vascular imaging
Provide education and training to staff, leadership, and external stakeholders
Support and manage the vascular imaging accreditation process
Serve as a resource for process improvement methodologies and performance measurement
Utilize technology to support communication, decision-making, and error reduction
