HAYLO People are specialists in Personal Injury and General Insurance recruitment and are partnered with a highly regarded international consultancy to support multiple hires within its Personal Injury team.

We are seeking expressions of interest from Junior Lawyers, Associates and Senior Associates to join a high-performing personal injury and property liability practice. Roles are available across Australia, with hybrid working and key hubs in Melbourne and Sydney CBD.

This opportunity is ideal for lawyers who enjoy working closely with insurers and insured clients, take a pragmatic approach to litigation, and are looking to grow their technical capability, autonomy and client relationships within a collaborative team.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist with or manage personal injury and property liability matters (litigated and unlitigated), depending on experience.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and advices.
• Liaise with insurers, insured clients, counsel, experts and other stakeholders.
• Prepare evidence and submissions and assist with court attendances, mediations and settlements.
• Manage files in accordance with insurer requirements and KPIs.
• Contribute to business development and team collaboration.
• Support and mentor junior team members (Associate and Senior Associate levels).

Skills & Experience

• Experience from Junior Lawyer to Senior Associate level in personal injury, insurance or general litigation.
• Public liability experience essential; property damage/defence experience advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with a pragmatic, client-focused approach.
• Organised, commercially minded and able to manage matters appropriate to experience level.
• Comfortable using legal systems and open to new technologies.
