HAYLO People have partnered exclusively with Insurance Commission of Western Australia in their search for an Underwriting Analyst.
The Insurance Commission of Western Australia (Insurance Commission) is a State-owned Government Trading Enterprise that provides motor injury insurance to WA motorists and manages the self-insurance arrangement of the Western Australian Government.
The Role:
An integral position within the Government Insurance Division, The Underwriting Analyst will:
- Analyse underwriting and claims data to identify trends, assess portfolio performance, and inform strategic decisions.
- Provide analytical, technical, and system-based support to underwriting teams to enhance data-driven decision making.
- Develop and maintain underwriting models, tools, reports, and dashboards to support internal stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment across systems through collaboration with internal teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, system enhancements, and the development of training materials and documentation.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and attributes:
- You demonstrate accountability, integrity, and professionalism, aligning with the Insurance Commission’s Values, Code of Conduct, and public sector Code of Ethics.
- You bring a strong customer service focus and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You have proven ability to analyse, interpret, and present underwriting and insurance data to support decision making performance insights.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, using your verbal, written, and presentation skills to influence and engage diverse audiences.
- You apply exceptional attention to detail and use digital tools to improve processes, enhance data accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
