HAYLO People have partnered exclusively with Ambulance Tasmania in their search for Executive Medical Director. Ambulance Tasmania provides integrated, high quality, pre-hospital emergency and medical care, health transport and medical retrieval services to the Tasmanian community. The Role: The Executive Medical Director provides clinical leadership, direction, and professional oversight for medical practitioners in Ambulance Tasmania. As an Executive Clinical Leader, the Executive Medical Director ensures all clinical programs and services provide the highest quality and standard of medical care.
Working closely with the Ambulance Tasmania Executive Team to ensure that clinical practice guidelines and the direction of human, financial and material resources are appropriate to supporting the goals, policies, and vision of the organisation.
The Executive Medical Director will shape and support Ambulance Tasmania’s strategic plan, bringing fresh thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to navigate change and drive positive outcomes.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and attributes:
- Experienced Specialist Medical Practitioner, with broad clinical experience.
- Executive Leader experienced in supporting Organisational Strategic Plan and future direction.
- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to drive program success.
- Substantial managerial experience at Senior Manager or Executive Level.
- Extensive operational experience as a practicing Clinician.
- Significant research and education experience, academic appointments, and publications.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make decisions that align with business objectives.
