HAYLO People are experts in Personal Injury and General Insurance recruitment. A leading organisation in the personal injury space is seeking a highly experienced actuarial leader to establish and lead a new actuarial function on an initial 12-month contract.

The role
This is a senior leadership role where you will establish and develop internal actuarial capabilities. You’ll provide strategic advice at the executive level and build actuarial capabilities and excellence across the organisation.

• Lead the design and implementation of the actuarial services model.
• Advise executive leadership on capability, resources, and strategic direction.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer from external actuarial providers to the internal team.
• Develop and implement models to support decision-making.
• Mentor, coach, and uplift actuarial capability across the organisation.

About you

• Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA).
• Extensive experience in personal injury insurance. 
• Proven success in establishing actuarial functions and uplifting team capability.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence at the executive and board level.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Adaptable and resilient, with a strong grasp of industry trends and change.
