At HAYLO People, we specialise in recruitment across Personal Injury, Safety, and General Insurance. We’ve partnered with a leading building insurer who is currently looking for a Restoration Technician to join their Melbourne team. 

The Role

• Location: Melbourne CBD 
• Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm | Strong work-life balance
• Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 Plus Super
• Contract: Full Time, Permanent (Permanent Residents and Citizens) 

As a Restoration Technician, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Responding promptly to restoration jobs involving water, fire, mould, and storm damage across residential and commercial sites.
• Operating and maintaining restoration equipment such as air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters.
• Accurately recording job details, including site conditions, damage reports, and progress updates.
• Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensuring all work complies with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and professionalism on all job sites.

To be successful in this role, you will offer:

• Up to 2 years of experience in restoration, trades, or similar hands-on work is welcome but not essential.
• A strong work ethic and a genuine interest in learning the restoration industry.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to support people during challenging times.
• The ability to adapt quickly, stay calm under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow as part of a supportive team.
