This role reports to the State Safety Manager and works closely with four General Managers, operational teams across four business units, and other key stakeholders to drive safety culture and compliance throughout the site.

This is a permanent full-time role based on-site in East Melbourne, with flexible hours and hybrid working available.

The Role:

• Support a workforce of 350 people across four business units with end-to-end WHS support
• Lead initiatives across risk assessment, traffic management plans, and safety system maturity
• Coordinate and facilitate RTW programs, ensuring compliance and early intervention
• Work closely with the State Safety Manager and contribute to team structure and development
• Assist in embedding practical and effective safety systems across all departments
• Drive cross-business unit collaboration and cultural uplift in WHS practices
• Contribute to manual handling improvements and ongoing project initiatives
• Participate in critical safety stand-downs, toolbox talks, and communication campaigns
• Support senior leadership and act as a key conduit across the site and the broader safety team

Your Experience:

• Cert IV in WHS (minimum) or Diploma preferred
• 3–4+ years of experience in WHS roles – ideally in manufacturing, trade, or blue-collar industries
• Strong technical WHS capability – experience with systems, risk, and compliance
• Ability to engage with frontline staff and influence leaders
• Demonstrated understanding of integrated WHS Management Systems and how the components work together
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to lead, support, and coach others
• Comfortable managing RTW and understanding psychosocial hazards
• Resilient, adaptable, and open to working across multiple functions and projects
• Professional, proactive, and ready to contribute to an evolving safety platform
