The role

• Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines using modern cloud platforms and frameworks 
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT solutions and support real-time and batch data processing 
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility 
• Contribute to the data architecture strategy and influence best practices across the enterprise 
• Experience mentoring junior data engineers and contributing to team capability uplift
• Drive continuous improvements in data reliability, observability, and governance.

About you

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development with a focus on large-scale data systems
• Strong command of Python and/or Scala, SQL, and distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Kafka
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), data lakes, and orchestration tools like Airflow or dbt
• Deep understanding of data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and CI/CD practices
• Proven ability to solve complex data challenges and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
