HAYLO People is a specialist recruitment agency supporting the Personal Injury and Insurance industry and are recruiting and are seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Manager to join one of Australia's most trusted and well-known brands in a supportive and forward-thinking team.

This role will manage the injury management function across Australia and New Zealand. There is a focus on early intervention strategies for injured employees to prevent the escalation of minor physical injuries.


The role

• Manage the workers compensation function across all jurisdictions (self-insured in South Australia, via insurers in other states and under a government scheme in New Zealand)
• Ensure the effective implementation of processes to achieve early and effective return to work outcomes for injured workers
• Communicate effectively the return-to-work restrictions to site supervisors in a manner ensuring all human capital requirements can be managed by the business, including the injured worker.
• Manage the internal dispute resolution process and attend the South Australian Employment Tribunal
• Manage the early intervention program

About you

• At least 3-5 years’ experience performing end-to-end claims management with a Self-Insurer under the South Australian Return to Work Act
• Alternatively, at least 5 years’ experience performing end-to-end claims management with a Scheme Insurer
• General knowledge of the application of Workers Compensation requirements of other jurisdictions
• Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
• Current drivers’ license and ability to undertake some planned travel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed deadlines and a high attention to details
