We have an exciting leadership opportunity within a major Queensland Government organisation. In this role, you will lead a team focused on Claims Management, driving successful return to work outcomes for their customers.
Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working and be a key member of the leadership team located in Brisbane working full-time (36.25) hours.

The role:

• Lead, coach and mentor a Claims Management team to ensure that performance indicators and objectives are achieved, and the team is successfully managed through organisational change.
• Provide guidance and support on statutory and common law claims management and premium issues, promote industry alignment with a focus on early rehabilitation and return to work.
• Work as a collaborative member of the leadership team, engaging across Portfolios and Divisions, sharing knowledge and learning with peers, providing feedback on initiatives and championing the success of others.
• Manage customer feedback and escalations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.

 
About you: 

• Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
• Experience in a commercial insurance environment and/or in the management of personal injury claims.
• Highly developed knowledge, and the ability to apply legislation related to both claims and premium.
• Proven ability to lead a team to achieve goals and build mutually rewarding relationships between stakeholders.
• Change management experience including leading people through change to achieve business outcomes.
