We are partnering with a large government organisation who have an opportunity to join their thriving business supporting injured workers on their journey to recovery, making fair decisions, ensuring timely support, and helping them return to work with confidence and care.
  
Please note this is a permanent full-time role that will start at the start of April 2025 based in Brisbane CBD with work from home available after training.
  
As an Eligibility Officer, you will play a crucial role in assessing and determining liability for workers' compensation claims. You will gather key information, make informed decisions, and collaborate with Case Managers to support injured workers and their employers in achieving the best return-to-work outcomes
  
The role

• Assess and make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of claims.
• Gather and analyse information to ensure accurate and timely claim decisions.
• Collaborate with Case Managers to assist employers in preventing injuries and supporting injured workers.
• Resilience and perseverance.
• Work management - attention to detail, organisational and planning skills.
• Identify barriers and make appropriate decisions.

About you

• 2+ years of experience in a commercial insurance environment or personal injury claims are ideal.
• Strong working knowledge of Workplace Injury Rehabilitation & Compensation is highly desired
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
