This role reports to the National Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Manager and works closely with operational business leaders, safety teams, compliance teams, external consultants, regulators, and other stakeholders.

This is a permanent full-time role with a Hybrid working arrangement, 2 days WFH with the remaining time split between Head Office and Site Visits.

The Role:

• Maintain contact with injured workers, encouraging active participation in rehabilitation programs.
• Lead the delivery and ongoing development of the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Management System.
• Develop and document Return to Work Plans in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate return-to-work programs by collaborating with employees, managers, insurers, and regulatory bodies.
• Attend medical case conferences to support early intervention and recovery at work.
• Prepare reports on return-to-work performance and support stakeholders in utilizing this information for safer work environments.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and best practices in health and safety.
• Provide expert advice on health, safety, and well-being across multiple business units.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and safe work method statements.
• Lead Health & Safety Committees, supporting representatives to be effective in their roles.

Your Experience:

• Cert IV or higher in WHS (Work Health & Safety).
• Workers Compensation and RTW experience.
• Experience in a Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisory position.
• Advanced knowledge of WHS legislation, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and consultation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Change management expertise and ability to facilitate collaborative relationships.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to assess and manage risk while driving for results.
• Professional presentation and a customer-focused approach.
