We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join one of Australia's most trusted and well-known brands in a supportive and forward-thinking team. Manage a portfolio of claims with a focus on proactive case management within this worker’s compensation team. Managing end-to-end claims, with a mixture of front and tail claims within a self-insurance setting.


The role

• Managing the relationship with a self-insured client and managing a small claims portfolio with both physical and psychological claims
• Identifying, escalating, and managing complex or sensitive claims in accordance with VIC state legislation and other states as required
• Working independently and taking ownership whilst also collaboratively with a national team reporting directly to the Workers Comp Manager
• Access support from technical advisors & injury specialists to develop claim strategies that will achieve best outcomes
• Calculate PIAWE including reductions and indexation, and provide advice to Site Administrators and Payroll on processing of weekly entitlements

About you

• At least 3 years’ experience performing end-to-end claims management with a Self-Insurer under Victorian Workers Compensation
• Alternatively, at least 5 years’ experience performing end-to-end claims management with a Scheme Insurer under Victorian Workers Compensation
• WorkSafe approved training in Role of a Return-to-Work Coordinator
• Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed deadlines and a high attention to details
