Contract Administrator | Project Coordinator

A hands-on builder here in Melbourne is looking to appoint a young gun to join their team based in Richmond. This is a hybrid role giving you exposure to back-end commercials / financials, as well as being at the coal face helping drive the programme from inception through to completion.

The business is a specialist fit-out and refurb contractor with turnover exceeding $40mil annually. They have a healthy pipeline of work across both new-build and fit-out / refurb projects, giving you exposure to design-driven work that is bespoke and high-end.

The Role

• Assisting with procurement and tendering of subcontract packages across commercial new build, fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and consultant documentation to develop scopes, manage RFIs and support package letting
• Preparing trade package comparisons, cost reporting and contract documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Engaging subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and coordinate procurement activities
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, variations, progress claims and commercial risk management to drive successful project outcomes

What They're Looking For

• 1-2 years' minimum experience across commercial building or fit-out
• Ambition! A want to grow and learn and give it your all
• Strong interest in architecturally driven work (no apartments here)
• Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment
• Calm and composed with an ability to handle tight deadlines
