Estimator – Demolition and Environmental Remediation

A specialist contractor in demolition, decommissioning and environmental remediation is looking to appoint an Estimator to support a strong pipeline of industrial, civil and remediation projects across Victoria. The business is known for self‑perform capability, disciplined site controls and a practical, delivery‑first culture.

The Role
You’ll be pricing demolition, decommissioning and environmental remediation packages from first principles. The work includes structural demo, contaminated soil, asbestos removal, industrial shutdowns and controlled‑environment projects. You’ll sit close to delivery, ensuring pricing reflects real methodology, plant, labour and risk.

What You’ll Be Doing

• First‑principles estimating across demo, remediation and decommissioning
• Reviewing drawings and environmental reports to build accurate scopes and quantities
• Preparing cost breakdowns across multiple work fronts
• Engaging subcontractors and suppliers for specialist pricing
• Identifying risks and controls that shape methodology and delivery
• Supporting tender strategy and contributing to bid reviews

What They’re Looking For

• Experience estimating demolition, remediation or civil packages
• Ability to interpret drawings, environmental reports and technical specs
• Strong understanding of first‑principles estimating
• Comfortable working in a fast, practical pre‑contracts environment
• Clear communicator who can work with delivery teams and clients
