About the Role As one of our HSEQ Advisors, you’ll be the go-to safety expert for a defined region - championing a proactive safety culture and providing hands-on support, coaching, and guidance to teams on the ground. You’ll play a key role in shaping and executing our HSEQ strategy, helping us move towards industry best practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering HSEQ programs that promote a safe and healthy work environment
- Leading safety coaching and engagement across employees, subcontractors, and visitors
- Supporting new project start-ups with risk assessments and safety documentation
- Maintaining and enhancing our Integrated Management System (IMS) to meet OFSC, client, and regulatory standards
- Conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Reviewing and implementing SWMS, EMPs, and other safety plans
- Driving continuous improvement in safety performance and compliance
About You We’re looking for someone who’s not just qualified, but passionate about safety and people. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced civil construction environment and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
You’ll ideally have:
- A formal qualification in WHS or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a standalone safety role
- Solid understanding of OHS legislation and ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001)
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading incident investigations and reporting
- Exposure to Federal Safety Accreditation (highly regarded)
- Experience in civil construction environments (highly regarded)
