Are you eager to land a brand new role for the New Year? Our client in South London are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance operations.

Position: Procurement Officer
Location: South London
Hourly Rate: £29.24 p/h (Umbrella)
Start: ASAP
Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm 
Duration: 7 months (Possible Extension)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Category Lead in providing advice and guidance on the procurement regulatory matters and corporate governance relating to procurement processes.
• Be responsible for leading and managing the tendering and awarding of a portfolio of contracts of up to £5-10m per annum.
• Contribute to the development of the service area’s procurement strategy, setting targets which contributes to medium terms financial savings.
• Contribute to the development of a culture of performance management of contracts to ensure maximum value and social value benefits are achieved from contracts.

Job Requirements

• 2 years or more exprience within a local authority envrionment or a similar organisation.
• Previous experience within a Procurement role or equivalent.
• Must hold a CIPS qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of all relevant laws and legislation including OJEU procedures and the PCR Act of 2015.
