Position: Fire Risk Health & Safety Compliance Consultant
Rate: £350 per day
Contract Duration: 6 Months (possible extension)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
   
   
Key Responsibilities:

• To assist in effective and efficient management of all aspects of Health and Safety, Fire Safety, CDM and Transport Safety matters, including policy implementation, monitoring and inspection.
• To keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety and welfare at work and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders. Liaise with suppliers for procurement of health and safety resources.
• To improve and develop an organisational culture, which promotes the health, safety and fire safety of all employees, clients and the public and supports a safe working environment by contributing to the provision of a fully integrated health, safety and fire safety (HS&F) service with an emphasis on education and embedding a safety culture.
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of an advisory service to Departments on H&S and Fire issues and risk assessments to enable decisions and judgements to be made, consistent with the companies obligations as an employer and corporate policy.
• To provide a professional, proactive and commercially focused approach to H&S s(and Fire safety) service delivery across all departments.
  

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 2 years’ experience within a Health and Safety role or equivalent.
• Previous work experience, in particular gained within a Fire Safety, Transport Safety etc.
• Excellent customer service skills with proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), in particular when resolving complaints and other matters.
