6 month contract role reports to the CFO, key responsibilities are:

• Manage all aspects of revenue recognition and billing processes for Maxlife Care, including optimizing revenue performance. 
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing using PRODA, PACE, and Xero accounting systems while monitoring outstanding receivables. 
• Reconcile billing discrepancies as needed, including reviewing funding management levels. 
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including NDIS financial guidelines, and participate in NDIS or financial audits as required. 
• Review and verify the accuracy of revenue and billing data, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies. 
• Analyze revenue and billing trends, identify areas for improvement, and recommend process enhancements. 
• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for revenue and billing accounts. 
• Help prepare financial reports, including data visualization and analysis of financial information to provide insights. 
• Support the implementation of a new billing system. 

You will bring: 

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or similar roles. 
• A passion for data analysis and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of NDIS financial regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements is preferred but not mandatory. 
• Experience in the disability or aged care sector is advantageous but not essential. 
• Ideally, you should have experience in reviewing, modeling, and analyzing financial data. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, PRODA, PACE). 
• A solid understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. 
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. 
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
• CPA/CA certification or progress toward CPA/CA eligibility is a plus. 
• Must possess or be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
