The Company culture is that of respect, diversity, inclusion, working smarter, driving efficiency, and still having a life outside of work - overtime is frowned upon - you should have plenty of time to complete your work in 37.5 hours or you aren't the right fit! Enjoy progression opportunities, secondments across the business, and a positive and supportive management & executive team.
Your New Role

Not just a care taker roles, you'll drive continuous improvement as you deliver on existing assets and handle work in progress (WIP), manage adjustments, disposals, and transfers. You'll support the group finance/accounting team with audit preparation, assist with financial statements, updating the G/L and making the required entries. You'll provide financial analysis for necessary adjustments, impairment assessments, depreciation, and capitalisation.
Working in a project based environment, you'll help with forecasting, budgeting, proper classifications (operations vs capital), variance analysis of depreciation schedules and more. You'll have the opportunity to provide financial analysis and modelling in support of major contracts, working closely with commercial and procurement for contract administration and performance.
Your Profile
To perform well in this critically important function, it is expected you have some relevant experience with fixed assets, impairments, ideally in an asset intensive industry/company due to the complexity at the company. We can consider those directly from public practice at a senior accountant/audit/tax level if qualified as CA/CPA. A hit the ground running option, with similar corporate experience would be very welcomed, though they are happy to upskill a little bit on the job for the right person.
The personal side of the brief: a team player, able to communicate across many stakeholders (operations, commercial, procurement, finance, external), a high attention to detail, and positive attitude. You are the type of person to continuously improve processes and efficiency and proactively think about problem solving rather than wait to be told what to do. You are ambitious and keen to grow your career in finance and this is just the next step on your way.
