Your New Role
With size comes complexity and the Company has reached a critical point where they are ready for a technical accountant to come in and lead audit engagements (mid-tier firm auditor), drive process improvement, ensure compliances, but more important, drive analysis within the business - by product, by customer, right sizing inventory and cash holdings, and much more.
The role is a mix of both financial accounting/reporting, and the rest of the time doing value added cost analysis, revenue and margin analysis. With over 1,000 SKU's in products and hundreds of customers, you will always have something to analyse.
I hope you are tech savvy, because this company is already harnessing AI to improve operations, demand planning, transport costs, customer analysis, product analysis, inventory management, and more!
And the usual stuff too, you will complete month end accounts, statutory accounts, including tax compliance, and work closely with the accounts team and payroll team.
Your Profile
What the team lacks is an accounting firm trained (ex audit preferred) individual to increase technical knowledge, up skill the team, and run the annual external audit process. Further, the business will need your analytical and problem solving skills to drive business outcomes through analysis and the insights you'll deliver to the business leaders in operations. You are a rising star, who can demonstrate ambition and promotability as this role has some serious potential to grow as the business grows. The CFO and Operations Finance Director are very happy to guide, support, mentor and train. You are someone who learns quickly, takes a common sense approach, and have the ability to influence others with your story telling skills. Ideally you want to work for a company that makes tangible, useful products.
