Your Engagement Details

Immediate start into a group finance function of one of Perth's $1bn revenue companies headquartered here in WA.  The contract can start at your availability and run through 30th April initially.

Your Day to Day Duties

• Oversight of groupwide consolidation of financial results, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Working closely with peers in management reporting and analysis, once you are done with your compliance tasks.
• Review monthly accounts through to trial balance
• Oversight of taxation (handled by senior tax accountant) - IAS, BAS, GST, Payroll Tax, and other compliances
• Oversight of the general ledger and fixed assets,  asset capitalisations, depreciation, asset disposals, and fixed asset software
• Provide leadership, guidance and support for your team of 5 accountants (3 of which are CA/CPA qualified with significant tenure in the company)
• Act as 2IC to the group financial controller as required
• Balance sheet maintenance
• Statutory accounts for over 40 entities (including subsidiaries) in a complex environment
• Personally deliver half and full year reporting

Your Relevant Experience

• Your CV demonstrates you can hit the ground running in a busy, complex, head office, group reporting role in a medium to larger sized business.
• You have a CA/CPA qualification and at least 3 years in a senior corporate accountant or finance manager capacity with existing leadership of qualified staff.
• Up to date with IFRS and AASB Standards
• Superior communication skills from transactional staff to the executive suite, in a collaborative style.
• High attention to detail, in fact, it annoys you when things are off and you can't wait to fix it.
• You are well organised, able to prioritise work and deliver on or ahead of deadlines consistently.
