A well-established engineering manufacturer in Banbury is hiring a permanent Assembly Operative to join their production team. The work is hands-on and varied, covering mechanical assembly and component soldering, building products to drawings and work orders to a consistent standard. Hours are Monday to Thursday 7am-4.30pm and Friday 7am-2pm, with an early finish to the week.
What you will do

• Carry out mechanical assembly using hand tools, working from technical drawings and work instructions
• Perform component soldering as part of the build process
• Maintain accuracy and quality throughout, identifying issues before they escalate
• Work as part of a close-knit production team, contributing to output and delivery targets

What you will bring

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Hands-on soldering experience, whether from electronics assembly, electrical, or a mechanical trade background
• Confident using hand tools with good manual dexterity
• Able to read and follow technical drawings, work orders, or work instructions
• Reliable, accurate, and comfortable working as part of a team
• Commutable to Banbury for an on-site role
