Prep Technician
 
Pay Rate: £16-£18 per hour
We are looking for an experienced Prep Technician to join our specialist team preparing a wide range of components, from visual and non-visual carbon parts to traditional steel panels. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Prep Technician who takes pride in delivering precise, high-quality finishes.
 
Role Overview:
As a Prep Technician, you will be responsible for sanding, applying filler, and preparing parts for topcoat application to a very high standard. You will work to detailed schedules and processes, ensuring all components meet strict quality requirements. The ideal Prep Technician will be self-motivated, reliable, and confident working with visual carbon fibre and other materials.
 
Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Prep Technician or in a similar panel preparation/automotive finishing role
• Skilled in prepping raw carbon fibre and primed panels for topcoat application
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for panel shape and surface quality
• Experience using sanding blocks, DA tools, and applying filler accurately
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and maintaining clean, organized work areas
• Fluent in spoken and written English

Working Hours & Benefits:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
• 2 x 15-minute paid breaks, 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Sensible dark workwear required; all PPE provided
