This is a well-established international mid-tier accounting firm with offices in Sydney CBD, serving a diverse client base across varied industries. The tax team operates within a larger firm structure that includes Audit and Business Advisory divisions, where you will also provide tax technical support across these functions. 

About the Role

This is a small, high-performing tax team embedded within a larger international mid-tier firm. You will manage a mix of corporate tax compliance, tax effect accounting, and advisory projects across a broad client base — working directly with clients and collaborating with the wider Business Advisory colleagues. This role reports to the Partner and offers structured mentoring and a clear pathway to Partner level.

Duties

• Mix of corporate tax compliance, tax advisory, tax written advice, business services across multiple industries
• Prepare and review tax provisions and tax effect accounting entries
• Support domestic and international tax matters and technical research projects
• Collaborate with the wider Business Advisory teams on client engagements
• Manage direct client relationships across a varied industry portfolio

Skills & Experience

• Be CA/ CPA, have a Master of Taxation, or CTA (or equivalent)
• 8 + years Australian corporate/ private tax experience, as well as a Business Services background, ideally from Big 4 Private Clients, Mid-Tier, or a specialist boutique tax firm
• Strong accounting, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills
• Genuine interest in tax technical development and client service
• Inspiration towards Partnership
• Exceptional client relationship building skills and potential to win clients
