As an SMSF Accountant, duties include:

• Processing financial, tax returns, BAS, IAS, pension calculations and member reporting, reconciliations for 130 SMSF
• Working across complex funds, including limited recourse borrowing arrangements, property investments, complex investment structures,  both unlisted investment  / related parties investment
• Fund in accumulation and pension phase
• You will work in a team of 2 other SMSF Accountants as well as have assistance from the general accounting admin team
• Direct client interaction, mostly over the phone and emails
• Liaise directly with external Auditors

  
Skills and personal attributes:

• 4 + years as a SMSF Accountant
• You may be a specialist SMSF accountant or Business Services Accountant with a passion for SMSF
• CA/ CPA or studying towards, or a related SMSF specialist accounting course
• Permanent resident or Australian Citizen
• Excellent understanding of superannuation legislation and compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines during peak periods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
