This role sits within in our Power Services division which provides operations and maintenance services to over 30 power generation assets across Australia. What you’ll do
- Provide Level 1–2 support for hardware, software, network and account‑related issues
- Diagnose and resolve incidents via phone, email, ticketing system and in‑person support
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when required
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions and asset changes
- Set up, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals
- Manage user accounts, permissions and access across systems including Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Perform routine system checks, updates and patching
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining network connectivity, Wi‑Fi and VPN access
- Support deployment and maintenance of servers, cloud services and backup systems
- Identify recurring issues and recommend long‑term improvements
- Support cybersecurity initiatives including MFA, endpoint protection and secure configuration
- Assist with compliance activities including audits, asset management and policy enforcement
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for systems, processes and knowledge articles
- Contribute to IT projects, technology upgrades, migrations and new system rollouts
- Recommend enhancements to improve reliability, efficiency and user experience
What you’ll have - Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, collaboration tools and business systems
- Strong knowledge of networking and firewall management (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience supporting IoT device setup and operations
- Working knowledge of Azure platform administration
- Experience with ITIL or service desk frameworks (desirable)
- Familiarity with mobile device management tools such as Intune or JAMF (desirable)
- Basic scripting or automation skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python (desirable)
- Certificate IV, Diploma, Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science or related fields
- Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft certifications (advantageous)
