As an Operations Planner Scheduler with Worley, you will coordinate and support plant operations by managing schedules, reporting, and project activities, working closely with engineers, site teams, and clients to meet all operational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
You’ll be a vital part of our collaborative team operating and maintaining Yarnima power station which supplies power to the township of Newman and the surrounding BHP mining operations within the East Pilbara. You'll be working an 8/6 day shift roster in a supportive environment that values teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  
Yarnima Power station includes:

• 3 x Siemens SGT-800 Gas Turbines
• 3 x Heat Recovery Steam Generators
• 2 x Siemens SST-400 Condensing Steam Turbines
• A combined generation capacity of up to 190MW 
• Associated auxiliary plant and equipment   

What You’ll do:

• Lead and promote a strong Zero Harm and positive HSE culture across the site.
• Coordinate and optimise maintenance scheduling, shutdown planning, and daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, company, risk, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure safe, efficient delivery of maintenance and service activities.
• Identify, report, and resolve issues affecting plant reliability, safety, or performance.
• Support continuous improvement in asset management, maintenance systems, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Work with site teams on annual budgets, maintenance plans, and operations planning.
• Provide accurate reporting on maintenance KPIs, plant condition, and schedule performance.
• Maintain and manage systems such as 1SAP reports, AX ordering, MMS master data, and preventative maintenance work packs.
• Liaise across teams and sites to ensure alignment, strong relationships, and consistent operational standards.   

What you’ll have  

• Electrical/Instrument or Mechanical qualification and relevant experience
• Demonstrable knowledge and practical site HSE legislation and duty of care
• Current C class drivers’ license
• Strong understanding of HSE legislation, duty of care, and HSE best practice.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, asset integrity, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of plant operations, maintenance management systems, and permit‑to‑work processes.
• Skilled in implementing asset management principles and managing contractor engagements.
• Able to identify issues, prevent non‑conformances, and verify corrective actions.
• Proficient with 1SAP, CMMS, MMS, and Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Word/Excel/Project.
• Strong communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and build effective teams.
• Able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including clients.
